Arles Management Inc derives its name from Arles, a city in the south of France in the Provence region. Once a capital of ancient Rome, Arles inspired Vincent van Gogh when he lived there for 18 months in the late 1800’s.
During this most prolific period, he had an incredible burst of creativity. He produced over 300 paintings and drawings featuring portraits, landscapes and still lifes of cypresses, wheat fields and sunflowers. He also wrote hundreds of letters to his brother Theo.
In Arles, van Gogh’s artistic style was fully realized.
